Managing Chronic Renal Insufficiency / FLUTS)
Sammi was born with renal insufficiency. Her Kidneys have never concentrated her urine properly. She requires a prescription food, and ongoing hydration support and routine monitoring. Sammi also struggles with (FLUTS) Feline Lower Urinary Tract Syndrome, which mimics chronic urinary tract infections. Sammi is beating the odds and working on turning 14 years old. Currently she is in better health now than when she was kitten.
May 2023 Update: Sammi continues to do well medically, no relapses or cystitis this month. Mom says other than the baseline attitude she employs, she is seemingly as happy as a spoiled brat can be...... at least for the moment.
